FISHING REPORT 02/21
10,000 islands
CAPT JIMMY

The water temps are coming back up. High pressure has helped quite a bit.   These winter moons and tides are drastic   Best bet is higher incoming tide.

It seems that low tides aren’t producing much outside of finding your holes and targeting sea trout and sugars.  The mangrove edges aren’t holding much.

Winds are heavy, so we’ve had to stay leeward side of the island.  Staying in the smaller tributaries will give clean, clear water without wind
Cajun thunders have produced huge black drum and sheepshead, but the mangrove snapper are on the smaller side. White seems to be the color this past week

The rise in temps and water warmer has brought back the black tips and spinner sharks. There are tons of small bonnet head sharks as well

As the tide rises so do the bites. Time best spent would be the highest tide. The fish is moving in and out with the tide. Bay water looks like coffee with cream.  Best color in the bays is black and purple.

We have only a few select times and dates to fish. The season is full on. The guests have been super nice and leave being expert casters.
