How we catch so many fish

The leaders we use are non-conventional. It’s not a tapered leader. We tie a midsection for breakage to save the fly line. The best bet is to go 30 pounds to the midsection of 20 pounds to the end section of 50 pounds. In the event of a giant tarpon that you just can’t bring in to the boat, you can break it off at the midsection to save your expensive fly line.
